If you’re someone who loves to learn grammar rules and understand the “why” behind different conjugations and sentence structures, Busuu is the app for you. The Drops app helps you learn new vocabulary words quickly and efficiently. Its design is absolutely beautiful, and the science behind the app helps you store new words in your long-term memory. Smarter German has courses from beginner (A1) to advanced (C1), as well as test prep courses. The 5 different levels have video explanations, interactive exercises, and speaking/writing practices. The course is laid out in a very clear and logical way so you always know what to study next.
To support the humanitarian crisis, Pimsleur is offering its Ukrainian course for free. You can access the course until the end of 2023, but you have to sign up by December 31, 2022. Pimsleur uses audio lessons recorded by native speakers. The focus is on getting you conversational quickly. Since all lessons are audio only, you can listen anytime and anywhere.
