• Easy Peasy Turkish is a phrase book with 1,300+ words and phrases divided into 11 topics such as accomodations, medical, and shopping. Because the book is divided this way without a dictionary or index, it makes it difficult to find a specific word.
• Conversational Turkish Dialogues has 100 dialogues that show how to handle everyday situations in Turkish. It’s a good way to start reading in Turkish, but the word dialogues make me think there should be some speaking practice, which this book does not have.
• 600 Basic Words is a children’s book of common words with English and Turkish translations. Even though it’s only meant to be an introduction for young learners, this book is too basic because it doesn’t have a pronunciation guide or other additional material that could help parents teach their children with this book. There are better options available.
