Felicidades vs Enhorabuena

There are two misn options to say congratulations in Spanish. “Felicidades” and “Enhorabuena.” “Felicidades” is an all-purpose cheer. It’s perfect for birthdays, weddings, or any personal wins. For example, you can say, “¡Felicidades por el nuevo trabajo!” (Congratulations on the new job!) or “¡Felicidades a los recién casados!” (Congratulations to the newlyweds!). This phrase fits all contexts.

“Enhorabuena,” on the other hand, is a bit more formal. In Spanish, we often pick this phrase when someone deserves extra recognition. For example, you might say, “Enhorabuena por el proyecto exitoso” (Congratulations on the successful project). It’s an acknowledgement of an impressive accomplishment.

Felicidades vs Felicitaciones

When it’s time to congratulate someone in Spanish, you have two options: felicidades and felicitaciones.
